Our Powerspark Distributors and Electronic Modules  will work with an MSD 6AL Unit.

As the MSD is doing the hard work of driving the coil, our unit is just acting as a switch to trigger the MSD.
This of course assumes that the connection is wired it correctly. (Our Standard Instructions are superseded if using an MSD Unit) If you use our Standard Instructions, you will be bypassing the MSD unit and you risk damaging the Powerspark Electronic module.

In this type of install, the wires from the kit / distributor should NOT be attached to the coil. The red wire needs to be attached to a +12v (positive).  This can be the same as the ignition switch feed to the MSD.

The black wire from the module kit or the new distributor should be connected to the 'points' wire on the MSD. (this wire may be white but you may need to verify this).

Effectively you are installing the MSD unit as if the Electronic Kit / New Distributor is a Points and Condenser distributor.
